(In order of Appearance)
Giovanni de Rose (Mauro, NPC)
The playboy son of a well-to-do Casperian merchant, Giovanni decided to join the Silver Order following a quarrel with his father. Even though he is a devout Daeist, Giovanni enjoys more than his share of carousing and will regale others with song and music about tales of legend and his own exploits, especially when there is wine or ale to be drunk. To the order, he brings his knowledge of legend lore and an expertise in light swordplay, particularly with his twin sabers. After his squad’s recent adventure pursuing and eliminating the threat of Katrina Fireblood, Giovanni has become somewhat of a celebrity within the order, never having to buy his own drink nor sit alone in the canteen. Upon internment of Katrina’s ashes in her family mausoleum, Giovanni was promoted to Knight Lieutenant and assigned position with another squad in another keep. However, before taking up that position, he has gone missing. His former companions suspect he is headed to Casperia to confess his and the Order’s sins to the church. Whatever his motivations or intentions, they have yet to be revealed.
Yugao (Matthew, NPC)
A foreign elf with coal-black skin, Yugao had come to Hauther with a band of compatriots on a mission to seek the cure for the blood plague. After a number of deaths, only Yugao and her companion, Vallen, remain. She joined the Silver Order, figuring that would be the best route to obtain the formula for a cure to take back to her home country since the order is the creator and sole custodian of the only vaccine to have ever shown to protect against the blood plague. However, to her disappointment, the vaccine isn’t as viable a solution as she had hoped. So, she fights along with the order in the hopes finding a true cure. To the order, she brings her abilities of stealth and subterfuge, along with her noticeably sociopathic and sadistic tendencies and a peculiar fondness for a navy-blue defensive brolly with a spring-loaded blade. While en route to Casperia, Yugao decided that her calling within the order should take a different path, and has decided to set off toward Thule alone with “an offer for the High Marshall he can’t refuse.”
Vallen (NPC)
Vallen is the other remaining member of Yugao’s band that was sent to Hauther on a mission to find a cure for the blood plague. Aside from his coal-black skin, Vallen has little in common with Yugao, both in temperament and ability. He originally trained as a war wizard in his home land, specializing in fire spells, but has since expanded his repertoire to reflect the adventuring he has had to do as a Silver Knight. To the order, he brings both his spells and his knowledge of the arcane, and he has become the squad’s resident identifier, locator, healer, and food supplier. Unfortunately, Vallen is wrestling with some personality and mental challenges. Ever since his ritual to become a Silver Knight, Vallen has been suffering from temperamental issues related to the phases of the moon. In addition, after finding a powerful ring that helps his ability to heal his compatriots, he’s been wrestling between a sudden desire for pacifism and his squad’s need to use violence. Since Yugao’s departure, however, Vallen’s phases of irritability have lessened, making him slightly less annoying during the two waxing weeks of the moon each month.
Kai Tsintah (Pippa)
An unusually tall Errow elf with a motley background, Kai is an outlander who is quick to act and quicker to anger. She was released into the custody of a knight recruiter who found her locked up in an iron cage by an outland community for thievery and, worse, being a skinwalker, an Errow elf who can change her form using “dark” magic. In exchange for removing her from their impending “justice,” she was pressed into service as a Silver Knight and has since become a valuable outdoorsman, tracker, and archer for her companions as well as a general thorn in the side of her commanders. She is also the only Silver Knight to have ever donned the Black Crown, a dangerous artifact found in Palperoth, the town where the Silver Order defeated “The Seventh”, referring to the seventh and last of the Revenarum slain before the stalemate in the Plague War. Fortunately for Kai, the crown’s beguiling effects were lessened with the help of the order, but it remains uncertain whether ill effects will surface in the future. Presently, the only apparent side effect of donning the crown is that she has become the subject of attention for a rather small and curious creature named Nate, who seems to be attracted to the power of the crown and Kai’s wild hair.
Nothur Ironbeard (Diego, NPC)
Nothur is a Gerulekh dwarf who left with members of his clan to hunt down a group of outland bandits who stole a number of strohm from their herd. Upon a severe head wound during a skirmish with the bandits, Nothur wandered atop his strohm, Grognak, for two days, semi-conscious. Ever his staunchest ally, Grognak bolstered Nothur’s will to live by “speaking” to him throughout his ordeal until they were found by a caravan of Silver Knight recruits, who included Giovanni, Yugao, Vallen, and Kai. After being nursed back to health by the Order, Nothur pledged his axe to their service. He brings to the order his skills as a mountaineer and fierce ability as a strohm rider and warrior. His character has shown to be noble and altruistic, and he is often the moral compass of the group. Ever since he learned that Grognak could speak, Nothur has had many a conversation with him, much to the dismay of his companions. After an unfortunate encounter with a pair of unscrupulous Boronekh dwarves, Nothur has left his companions to personally engage in a diplomatic mission to the dwarven Clansmeet with an envoy of the Hemekh clan in the hopes of improving relations between the dwarves and the Silver Order.
Ivar Oman (Hazem, NPC)
A tall, stalwart, and reserved Jovaran outlander, Ivar was recruited into the brotherhood of Silver Knights before any of his latest companions. His original squad encountered Katrina Fireblood and her army of conscripted plague zombies marching toward the outlands. While Ivar’s squad remained to observe Katrina’s movements, he was sent back to Ft. Bellmead to raise the alarm. Unfortunately, that was the last time he saw his original squad alive. Since then, Ivar has been reassigned to his current companions to assist in the pursuit of Katrina. Throughout, Ivar has shown to be an honorable and principled warrior, making use of his great sword’s reach to dispatch his enemies at a distance. Also, his knowledge of tactics has helped his companions on a number of occasions, including their pursuit of Katrina into the secretive Gauntlet. However, before she was vanquished, Katrina took advantage of an unfortunate incident of friendly fire and cleaved open Ivar’s forehead. Since then, he has been in a coma and possibly a spiritual prisoner of Ulene, the Ancient spirit of “The Seventh” the group released in Palperoth.
Marie “Madame” Le Doux (Tania, NPC)
Marie is a Casperian Hudun woman who comes to the order under mysterious circumstances. She was forced to flee from the Daeist Church in her home city of Casperia and eventually found her way to Grand Goave, a village of Hudu in the outlands. Unfortunately, her new home wasn’t remote enough for the Church’s inquisitors to find her. As they camped outside the town, waiting for her to come out, a patrol of Silver Guard arrived to check in with the village. In return for safeguarding her, she joined the Silver Order as a knight recruit, and she was ushered away to her recruitment ritual. Since her joining, she has lent her talents as an herbalist and alchemist to the order by creating poultices and elixirs for the knights and guard. In addition, she is slowly allowing her talents as a spiritual medium be used to further the order’s goals.
Adoril Urthader (Arthur)
Description Still in Work.
Elre Hyrhorn (Conan)
An elvish ranger with a magical Krendiri polesword and a shrouded past, Elre is half Errow and half Krendiri with no knowledge of how his parents met or what happened to them. When he was an infant, a band of human outlanders discovered him next to the corpse of an Errow woman who had succumbed to wounds inflicted by plague zombies. The outlanders took him in and taught him how to fight and survive, but it was a Krendiri polesword found with the Errow woman that had the most influence on Elre. As Elre matured, the Krendiri polesword revealed itself to be bound with a spirt named Kerym, and it took upon itself to teach Elre in the ways of the Krendiri. Years later, during an attack by a pack of plague zombies, Elre’s prowess with his unique weapon caught the attention of a Silver Knight scout who believed he could be an asset to the order. Urged by Kerym to join the order if only to have the means to leave the outlands and search for the Krendiri homeland, Elre left his outlander family behind and became a Silver Knight. He fights alongside an eclectic band of knights who fight to rid Hauther of the Revenarum.
Tavin Grimmane (Aaron)
Tavin Grimmane had been a dwarven soldier fighting in the front lines in the Lahmekh Mountain region ever since he could wield an axe. Years of fighting off the blood plague had made him tough and battle capable, but also foul-tempered and prone to resolving conflicts through physical violence rather than diplomacy. Tavin officially left the familiarity of his homeland on a mission to seek the aid of the Silver Order for his dwarven kin against the blood plagued, but it was his guilt that drove him to leave and seek his former commander and comrade, Hruja Helder, who had been stripped of her command and banished from the clans because of an error that he made that had cost the lives of many in his platoon. Having found the Silver Knights, he finally learned that Hruja had perished defending her homeland from the blood plagued in the outlands and that they were bringing her ashes back to her homeland in the hopes of an honorable burial. Now a fully inducted Silver Knight himself, Tavin travels with his new comrades to carry on the honor and legacy off Hruja, fighting to discover a way to destroy the blood plagued and Revanarum to bring peace to his Lahmekh kin and to all of the dwarven clans.
Marcus Muddywater, (James)
A foreigner, Marcus grew up the son of a fisherman on Draconis Rise, one of the many densely populated islands that make up the Scattered Isles archipelago. At age 14 he began working with a secretive cartel known as House Dracone. Despite his quick wit, unassuming nature, and prowess with a rapier, he was most valued for his uncanny ability to find a breeze in a tranquil sea for his small sailboat when no other sailor could. In the service of House Dracone, Marcus was often the courier of choice for surreptitious or urgent deliveries, and eventually he proved to be one of the very few sailors who could reliably run the permanent blockade surrounding Hauther. However, his luck seemed to turn during his last cargo run to the Casperian barges when an unrelenting storm of ice and hail came out of nowhere. Adrift in what was left of his boat for several days, Marcus was finally able to make landfall near Silverbay and was eventually rescued from a pack of zombies by the Silver Order while he was scouting around and gathering supplies for himself. In return, he pledged his services to order, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the other knights of the Silver Order and fighting a war which should not be his. Although Marcus dreams of returning home, something tells him that his future is no longer his alone to decide.
